Dual Career
The Dual Career Network Ruhr (DCN Ruhr) assists partners of newly appointed academic staff in navigating career options in the Ruhr area.
Childcare & Parent-Child Offices
- RUB's bilingual daycare center, UniKids, offers modern, flexible childcare options.
- ProKids Holiday programs for children aged six to twelve of RUB employees and students
- Mediation of individual childcare services: BUK Family Service This service provides support in various areas regarding family support. A free login is required.
- Childcare at Events such as conferences, meetings, and training sessions
Family Rooms
- To use most family rooms, a one-time registration with the "Familiengerechte Hochschule" is required. Please send the completed registration form to familienraum(at)ruhr-uni-bochum.de.
- Nursing and changing room
- A separate room is available for breastfeeding and diaper changing, equipped with a changing table and a sofa, making the room also suitable for pregnant women.
- Parent-Child Room
- These rooms provide a work space and a mobile children's corner equipped with various toys, a play mat, and a changing table.
- Faculty of computer science: Two parent-child rooms are available (MC 0/72 & MC 5/)
