Dr. Pascal Sasdrich is the newest member of the “Junges Kolleg der Nordrhein-Westfälischen Akademie der Wissenschaften und der Künste“ starting January 2024. The "Junges Kolleg" is an academy for young researchers. It promotes independent research and interdisciplinary dialogue. Sasdrich works at the Chair of Security Engineering in the Faculty of Computer Science at Ruhr-University Bochum.
The association is welcoming a total of 19 new fellows. For the new members, admission is a significant honor: the “Junges Kolleg” provides both financial support for individual research and art in the form of an annual scholarship of €10,000, as well as the opportunity to engage with other excellent young researchers and artists.
The "Junges Kolleg" has been promoting talent in North Rhine-Westphalia since 2006 and has around 170 active, associated and former scholarship holders. It is open to doctoral graduates and outstanding artistic talents under 36 years old. Various events bring together some of the best in their fields, young and established researchers and artists whose paths might not otherwise cross. Represented are the humanities, natural sciences, medicine, engineering, economics – and the arts, a unique aspect of the academy.
