The CASA Summer School will take place from June 20 to 23, 2022 in Bochum. Participants can expect an exciting program of lectures and the opportunity to gain new contacts in the scientific community.
Blockchain technology is becoming increasingly important in research as it influences the user experience of many online applications and could positively change it in the future. During the CASA Summer School, blockchain security will therefore be looked at in more detail.
An overview of the topic will be given first, before security and privacy in popular blockchain platforms, such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, will be analyzed afterwards. The participants* will also discuss the security of smart contracts on the Ethereum platform.
Speakers who will share their knowledge about blockchain security in exciting lectures at the Summer School are:
- Elli Androulaki (IBM Research)
- Clara Schneidewind (Max Planck Institute for Security and Privacy).
- Ghassan Karame (Ruhr-Universität Bochum)
- Lucas Davi (University of Duisburg-Essen)
All PhD students and advanced master students from the field of IT security are cordially invited to apply. They have the opportunity to expand their knowledge in a much discussed and highly relevant research field in four days and to enter into an interesting exchange with others.
Applications for the Summer School are now open. Participation is free of charge. Conference meals and accommodation costs will be covered by CASA.
