Power grids, water supply and transport networks all belong to what we call critical infrastructures. Goals include the development of a secure mobile phone network by August 2018 that will be reserved for operators of critical infrastructure and that can be integrated into existing communications infrastructure. The Bochum team includes David Rupprecht, who is a doctoral researcher at the Horst Görtz Institute for IT Security.
