Excellence Strategy Proposal Submitted
The Ruhr-Universität Bochum submitted 5 of the 195 draft proposals created in response to the most recent call for proposals in Excellence Strategy funding lines. One proposal was submitted by HGI-affiliated professors Prof. Dr. Christof Paar, Prof. Dr. Eike Kiltz and Prof. Dr. Thorsten Holz. The research is quite interdisciplinary in nature and involves close cooperation between leading technical scientists and researchers with a more pronounced focus on the interplay between human behaviour and IT security.
The DFG will announce on 28 September 2017 which of the draft proposals will be invited to submit a full proposal, thereby remaining in the running for funding. Full proposals will have to be submitted by 19 February 2018.
