Cube 5: Application Phase for Batch #5 of the Incubator inCUBE is now open

In addition to startups from the IT security sector, startups interested in working in the 5G/6G field can also apply for the first time.

Until April 28, young startups have the opportunity to apply for Batch #5 of Cube 5's inCUBE incubator and benefit from individual coaching and a strong network. For the first time, the doors are open not only to teams from the IT security sector, but also to start-ups interested in working on future communication technologies (5G/6G).

The Next Gen Incubator inCUBE is specifically designed to meet the needs of early-stage start-ups in the future fields of 5G/6G and IT security. Here, ambitious teams can expect a five-month journey full of customized training and practical support. Participants are trained in the key areas of startup mindset, ecosystem building and impact entrepreneurship. The teams receive intensive support in developing business models, building their companies, developing sales strategies as well as online and HR marketing. They also benefit from a strong regional and national startup ecosystem with partners from research and industry.

Teams of at least two people from all over Germany can apply. Participation is free of charge. The application deadline for Batch #5 is April 28, 2024.

New StartUpConnect funding program
Cube 5 has expanded its portfolio and is now the contact point for the StartUpSecure and StartUpConnect funding programs of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). Cube 5 supports people interested in founding a company and startups in the fields of IT security and future communication technologies (5G/6G). The focus is on spin-offs from research with prospects of success in the B2B sector.

With the new StartUpConnect initiative, the BMBF has established a funding platform for start-up teams and young companies in the field of new communication technologies. StartUpConnect aims to significantly increase the chances of success and innovation output and promote successful projects. The 6GEMcubator was created for North Rhine-Westphalia and beyond to promote the transfer of technology from research to innovative entrepreneurship and society. The 6GEMcubator project includes Cube 5 (Ruhr University Bochum), RWTH Innovation (RWTH Aachen), tu concept (TU Dortmund) and UDE University Duisburg-Essen.
