Dr. des. Mary Shnayien received for her dissertation "Vom Wunsch nach Sicherheit. Eine Betrachtung negativer und queerer Sicherheit in Kryptologie und Informatik" (Engl.: On the desire for security. A consideration of negative and queer security in cryptology and computer science) the prize of the Society of Friends of the Ruhr-Universität (GDF). The prize was presented by GDF chair Birgit Fischer (right) and GDF managing director Prof. Dr. Ulf Eysel (second from right).
Mary Shnayien was a doctoral student in the first funding phase of the inter- and transdisciplinary research college "SecHuman - Security for Humans in Cyberspace" on questions of "Humans and IT Security" at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum until 2020.
