Friendly takeover: IT security expert Prof. Dr. Thorsten Holz hijacks the Twitter account of the Ruhr University Bochum (RUB) for one day. On 28 March 2019, the professor will give insights into his everyday life between research and television shooting.
A day in the life of a scientist
Starting Thursday morning, Thorsten Holz will share his day with the RUB's 14,400 Twitter followers, answer questions and report on his research. On the RUB account @ruhrunibochum, for example, he takes the users with him to a TV interview - not an everyday appointment, but also not unusual for the top researcher.
About Thorsten Holz
As @thorstenholz, the researcher has been twittering since 2010. Already out of scientific interest, after all, he deals with security and privacy in social networks. At his Chair of System Security, he is also investigating how malware can be analyzed automatically and how the Internet of Things can be made more secure. He is also one of the speakers of the Casa cluster of excellence - cyber security in the age of large-scale attackers.
