The aim of the SecHuman Summer School at the RUB is to illuminate IT-Security not only from the technical but also from the social side. From 3 to 6 June 2019, experts from a wide range of disciplines will exchange views on topics ranging from hacks to door locks to the masculine rhetoric of IT-Security.
Stars among the guests
Among the guests will be Linus Neumann, speaker of the Chaos Computer Club in Germany, and two experts from the Federal Criminal Police Office who will speak on the subject of author recognition of texts. The programme also includes a Hacking Competition organised by doctoral students of the Forschungskolleg.

About SecHuman
Since July 2016, the Ministry of Culture and Science has been supporting the NRW Research College at the RUB in cooperation with the Technical University of Dortmund and the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences. The Research College SecHuman is located at the Horst Görtz Institute for IT-Security. The aim of the research college is to focus not only on the technological aspects of IT security but also on the consequences and opportunities for people, society, culture and the environment.
13 doctoral students are working on interdisciplinary questions around the main topic "Security for People in Cyberspace". University professors from the fields of electrical engineering, mathematics, media science, German studies, anthropology, law, social sciences and psychology as well as a group of practical partners support them in this.
