From 01 to 02 February, the BSI will host the 18th German IT Security Congress online. As part of the congress, SecHuman promovend Jonas Hielscher will give a talk on "Why IT security in organizations needs a reboot".
In the paper that Jonas Hielscher will present, the authors describe why mere education and training of security skills does not lead to secure behavior of employees, and what would be needed instead. Using the safety learning curve shown in (2), they will present 9 steps that companies can take to support their employees in changing their behavior. For each step, the presentation will focus on practical case studies that illustrate why each step is important. The lecture will take place at 11:00 a.m. and will be held in German.
