The nrw-uniTS team invites interested parties to this year’s IT Security Research Day, organised around the theme “Human Centered Systems Security”. We hope to demonstrate just how diverse and important the human factor is when it comes to IT security. Although human users are frequently identified as the “source of error” when it comes to the development and deployment of IT systems, and therefore a factor that increases the risk of attack, a number of aspects related to human users have received insufficient attention in the research to date.
Program and participation
The human factor plays a significant role not only in IT systems’ usability, but in their development and administration as well. We have put together an event featuring a number of excellent speakers drawn from academic institutions and industry in NRW. In addition to fascinating talks on the role played by the human factor in development and in companies and new perspectives on the human factor more generally, our accompanying exhibition provides rich opportunities for relevant networking.
This event is aimed at representatives from medium-sized companies, skilled employees in the industry and researchers.
Participation is free of cost, but the number of attendees is limited.
The nrw-uniTS team looks forward to welcoming you on 26 June in Hagen.
General note: In case of using gender-assigning attributes we include all those who consider themselves in this gender regardless of their own biological sex.
