First CASA Comic Now Available in German

The science comic series originally published in English by our Cluster of Excellence CASA is now gradually being translated into German.

Over the past two years, we at the Cluster of Excellence CASA – Cyber Security in the Age of Large-Scale Adversaries – have developed an exciting science comic series. In four comic booklets, our four research hubs "Future Cryptography," "Embedded Security," "Secure Systems," and "Usability" are creatively presented. Each booklet follows an animal hero on an adventurous journey through the hubs, providing insights into the research projects.

High Demand Leads to German Translation
Originally, the comics were published in English – both digitally as flipbooks and PDFs, as well as in printed booklets. This was partly due to the international orientation of the Cluster of Excellence and partly because international researchers were involved in creating the comics. The positive feedback and numerous requests for a German version have now prompted us to gradually translate all comics into German.

First German-Language Comic Adventure on Secure Systems
The first German comic is already finished: In "Wirbel um Hub C und die verschwundenen Karotten", Betty the bunny embarks on an exciting exploration tour through Hub C in the CASA universe – a mysterious place offering solutions for digital security. In her quest to find a way to protect the bunny gang's carrot supplies from thieves, Betty also learns a lot about fuzzing, adversarial examples, machine learning, and deepfakes. The comic requires readers to have some technical knowledge.
