The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology is looking for alumnae in the field of engineering sciences for the project "We are shaping the future: Women engineers in focus". You are supposed to tell for a booklet about your professional lives - and thus demonstrate the broad range of the engineering profession and the excellent career opportunities.

Women are still severely underrepresented among engineering students. The graduates' presentation of job profiles is intended to motivate schoolgirls to study engineering at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum. With your participation, the many opportunities for development as a graduate are to be presented.

In addition to everyday working life, topics in the booklet should also include the compatibility of family and career and professional experience in a male-dominated occupational field.

Here you will find an exemplary catalogue of questions, which serves as a suggestion for your personal statement. A photo of you, ideally at your workplace, will also help the project.

You can send feedback to Lolita Lassak or Lara Zeitel until January 1st, 2020.

Info: The RUB's Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology recently received the Lore-Agnes-Prize for its initiative "We make ourselves strong" from the Rectorate of the Ruhr-Universität. The Lore Agnes Prize is awarded to institutions that have developed their own equality strategy and is endowed with €15,000.

General note: In case of using gender-assigning attributes we include all those who consider themselves in this gender regardless of their own biological sex.
