Eurobits Excellence Award 2019 - Extension until November, 15 2019

The prize is awarded for academic theses which demonstrate a high practical relevance for applications in IT security.

This prize is awarded for academic theses which besides their scientific excellence also demonstrate a high practical relevance for applications in IT security. Anyone who writes their thesis (Bachelor or Master’s) on behalf of an institution or company in Germany is entitled to take part in the competition. This year’s award will be presented at the annual Eurobits event at the beginning of December and carries a cash prize of €1,000. The winner will be invited to the Eurobits event in Bochum, where he or she has the opportunity to present the findings of their thesis to a large audience of industry professionals.

Eurobits is the European Competence Centre for Security in Information Technology with a strong focus on collaboration and knowledge transfer between science and industry in the field of IT security. Alongside two leading research institutes, Eurobits is an alliance of established companies in the sector and young growth enterprises. The jury is made up of Eurobits executive committee members, with broad expertise drawn from the fields of science, established technology companies and innovative start-ups.

Submitted theses must be accompanied by a letter of recommendation from your academic supervisor. Please submit your entries between January 2018 and September 2018.

Organisational
Your thesis must be written in either German or English. It must be submitted in digital format by email to award(at)eurobits.de and must contain the following documents:

Academic thesis (Bachelor or Master’s) as a PDF file (Lastname_Title.pdf)
Letter of recommendation from academic supervisor

The closing date for applications is November, 15 2019, 23:59:59 MESZ.
