The 9th edition of the Cyber Security Challenge Germany (CSCG) starts on March 1. During the two-month online qualification, interested parties can solve exciting tasks from the field of IT security. The task categories include the topics of reverse engineering, cryptography, exploitation and web security. The tasks include different levels of difficulty to enable curious people without previous experience to get started and to entice advanced users.
For young talents between the ages of 14 and 25, the German finals in Ulm await after successful qualification. This will take place from July 3 to 7. The Roxy Ulm is the event location for the competition. Planning for the final is already in full swing. Exciting competition days and great prizes await the final participants. Travel to and from the event, including accommodation and supplies, are free of charge for all participants.
The organization of the on-site competition is not the sole responsibility of the non-profit association Nachwuchsförderung IT-Sicherheit e.V.: This year, we are happy to have enthusiastic partners* in CODE WHITE GmbH and the city of Ulm for the realization of the finale. In addition to a great program for the final in Ulm, the 24 best talents from Germany also have the chance to qualify for the European Cyber Security Challenge (ECSC) via the 10-person German team. This will take place this year in Hamar, Norway. Most recently, 28 European countries participated in the ECSC. Germany has already been the winning team twice, most recently in Prague 2021 and London 2018, making it a hot candidate for the top spots again this year.
Interested people of all ages are invited to solve the tasks and network with others from the community on the Discord server, regardless of whether they qualify for the finals. Furthermore, we encourage especially young women to participate.
