Since the beginning of the week, interested hackers can register for the contest. From May 15, registered participants will have three weeks to crack the protection and expose possible vulnerabilities. A total of 50,000 euros in prize money is being offered for this. The task is to modify a computer game protected with Blurry Box so that it runs without a dongle - its protective hardware.
An external jury consisting of HGI professors Thorsten Holz, Christof Paar, and Prof. Norbert Pohlmann (Managing Director of the Institute for Internet Security if(is) at the Westfälische Hochschule) will judge the entries.
