Digital change has reached all areas of our society. The challenges in the areas of data protection and data security are also increasing. It is not only known from the revelations of Edward Snowden that the security of information and communication systems is of central importance for a modern state.
A lecture by the Landschaftsverband Westfalen-Lippe (LWL) on Tuesday (20 August) at 6 p.m. at the Industriemuseum Zeche Zollern in Dortmund will deal with "Theft in the Digital World". Professor Dr. Thorsten Holz, expert for IT security at the HGI, will give an overview of various attacks on IT systems and explain how attackers proceed and which goals they pursue.
Admission is free. The lecture will be held in german.
